Interested in having Proctor Fabrication take on your next project? Here is our basic process for ensuring your project reaches completion and you receive our best every step of the way.

Step 1: Let's chat. Reach out and discuss your needs to begin. Do you need railing? Do you have inspiration pictures or blueprints? Maybe you only have a concept, and that works as well. Any project from railing to complete custom fabrication of your dream widget begins with a conversation. From this initial discussion, we can schedule a free estimate on-site if applicable or begin to assemble a quote from drawings and discussion.

Step 2: Review estimate. We try to make our estimates as clear and easy to reference as possible. Most jobs include multiple line items to ensure you can see the scope of work and track the inclusion of all discussed. We also like to build our estimates in such a way that you can see how changes will affect final pricing. This helps prevent confusion should change orders be needed.

Step 3: Pay Deposit. Almost all jobs will require a 50% deposit to generate final drawings and begin fabrication. This allows us to immediately cover material costs and initial work. Typically, the remainder of the job total will be due at delivery or installation.

Step 4: Fabrication. The fun part. Final drawings may need to be approved here so that we can do what we do best. We'll take materials and bing, bang, boom end up with your project brought to life. Most railing and other custom projects will need to be painted or powder-coated after fabrication is complete.

Step 5: Delivery/Installation. This might be your favorite part. We will bring out the project for delivery or installation. Onsite, we coordinate with you and other trades to ensure an easy time for all. For some jobs, we're an hour onsite; for some jobs, we're onsite for a couple of weeks. As we finish, we'll make sure our work area is cleaner than we found it and walk through the job to ensure your satisfaction.
